Cisco announced that Dan Scheinman will lead the newly formed Cisco Media Solutions Group, which will be responsible for developing and marketing infrastructure products that will help digital media content owners improve the content experience for consumers. Scheinman, who most recently served as senior vice president of Corporate Development, will be senior vice president and general manager of this new organization and reporting directly to John Chambers, chairman and CEO of Cisco.
Avinti, a provider of first instance e-mail outbreak threat protection, announced that William Kilmer has joined the company as chief executive officer. He brings valuable strategic insight to Avinti as the company continues to deliver protection from unknown, targeted and crimeware e-mail threats.
Lumeta, a provider of network assurance solutions for enterprises and government agencies, appointed Susan Tweedy to Vice President of Global Alliances. Tweedy will be responsible for leading the development and global expansion of the Lumeta Network Assurance Partner Program.
