CA Completes Wily Acquisition
ISLANDIA, N.Y. -- CA announced that it has completed its acquisition of Wily Technology, a provider of enterprise application management solutions, for $375 million in an all-cash transaction. The acquisition extends CA's industry-leading IT management portfolio.
Wily's solutions provide end-to-end visibility into customer transactions in real time, and enable IT organizations to successfully manage the health and availability of their critical enterprise applications and infrastructure. By helping IT managers to rapidly detect and diagnose application slowdowns and failures, these solutions deliver improved business operations, better customer service and higher returns on IT investment.
“CA's acquisition of Wily Technology will further help our customers unify and simplify their increasingly complex IT environments,” said Al Nugent, senior vice president and general manager of CA's Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) business unit. “CA is now the only company to provide a complete, 360-degree view into the enterprise IT environment — from end-to-end application service levels to individual infrastructure assets.”
CA plans to make Wily's products available both as stand-alone, best-of-breed products and as integrated components of its ESM and Business Service Optimization product portfolios. Wily will operate as a separate division within CA's ESM business unit.
